- Taking a shower
- Doing my hair
- Putting on make-up
I almost NEVER accomplish all 3 on any given morning. In fact, if I'm honest, my hair is sorely mistreated. But, I will say, I've gotten quite clever at messy buns and half completed braids. This makes is appear as though I've tried to get my hair to do something... but really, I've spent the extra 15 minutes snoozing. Because apparently, I'd rather sleep than look cute.
Dear Lord.
I don't even have kids and I'm already sacrificing appearance for comfort. The writing on the wall is clear: I will not be one of those moms that's well put together and adorable.
But, I'll be comfortable. The kids will be comfortable. And hopefully, that'll be enough.

The comfortable and honorable mother is a site that our society all to much seems to put by the side of the road these days. A mother that can reign in all the children, yes this includes the husband/father, is a champion in today's world and needs celebrating.
You mention not having kids yet and already sacrificing looks for comfort. I say rise above and identify with your inner comfort, not what you project to the world. You and Chris both do a great job with this and thus are very beautiful people to those that know you.
On a light note... given that Chris spends sooooooo much attention to his appearance, perhaps he could help you some if you're in need. Just a thought :-)
